March 1st 2026 BEEF Workshop

A hands-on, ears-open workshop exploring the audible but often invisible places around us.

Using lo-fi listening tools such as funnels and pipes, as well as contact mics, geophones, hydrophones and radio receivers, as well as mics, will let us listen down and into the ground and up into the atmosphere.

To start with we will drawer on Pauline Oliveros’s Deep Listening techniques to tune into different aspects of small sounds and will include a walk up to Kings down overlooking the city to explore the area from a sonic perspective and seeking out its hidden rhythms. Later on you can explore in any direction…….where your ears take you!
